THE BENCHMARK FOR EXECUTING EXTENSIVE PRINT RUNS.
Full Colour, or flexo printing, stands out for its exceptional high-speed production capabilities and superior quality. It's the preferred method for printing labels for the majority of our orders. As a leading label company across the nation, we are equipped with cutting-edge flexographic printing technology, manned by skilled technicians.
This enables us to efficiently and cost-effectively complete extensive label printing projects.
What is Flexographic Printing?
Flexographic printing is a type of rotary printing that uses flexible photopolymer plates attached to cylinders. These plates are created in a separate process before the actual printing begins, and each colour to be printed requires its own plate.
As the material to be printed, or substrate, moves through the press, it encounters each mounted plate on its respective cylinder. The ink from specialised wells is transferred to these plates and then directly applied to the substrate. This method, featuring flexible plates, enables high-speed printing on a diverse range of materials.
In flexographic printing, the use of CMYK inks allows for precise and consistent color reproduction, making it ideal for printing detailed images, complex designs, and full-color graphics. This method ensures that the final product meets the highest standards of clarity and vibrancy, essential for catching the consumer's eye and enhancing brand visibility.
Advantages of Flexographic Label Printing
Flexo printing is celebrated for its versatility, combining speed, quality, and cost-effective printing options. Additionally, it offers several other benefits including:
Varied Sizing Options
Our flexographic label presses have the capability to print labels up to 14 inches wide, accommodating large format labels. Furthermore, we can enhance efficiency by printing multiple streams of labels side-by-side simultaneously.
Substrate Choices
A flexographic label press's ability to apply ink directly to the substrate enables the use of a remarkably broad range of substrate materials. This includes everything from metallic films and foil to acetate and paper, all of which can be printed using a flexographic press.
Versatile Inks
Flexo presses are compatible with a diverse array of inks, such as water-based, fluorescent, metallic, and UV-curable inks.
Inline Finishing
Finishing options including topcoats & laminating, turret rewinders, sheeters, and fanfolders can be added to finishing stations at the end of flexographic presses. This allows for continuous production and time savings.
