S&N acquires Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certification
Consumers are becoming more aware of adjusting their behaviours to ensure that the products they consume come from companies that are conscious about the impact of their business on the environment.
FSC certification
S&N Labels embarked on an FSC “Forest Stewardship Council” chain of custody certification and after months of hard work, we received the notification that we can now claim FSC on our paper-based labelling products. We are committed to ensuring that all our paper-based labels are ethically sourced and from sustainable forests.
What does this entail?
- FSC chain of custody is an information trail about the path taken by products, starting with the forest.
- To processing/manufacturing and distribution where progress to the next stage of the supply chain involves a change in ownership.
- Change of ownership requires an effective CoC management system.
- FSC claims requires certification
- It key to show customers the origin of the material in their product.
- FSC claims in sales documents are required where customers want to use the FSC certified product as input for manufacturing of other certified products or re-sale as FSC certified.
